Awesome because:

1) Lif is a woman’s name. This means these vikings brought women along with them on their trips westward.

2) Lif might “just” have been a cook, but apparently wrote this herself, meaning:

a) A person did not have to be of a higher class to learn how to write, and
b) Women learned how to write, as well as men.

This makes us happy.
